Motozintla means "Squirrel Hill" in the Tzotzil language, and is the region of Sierra Mariscal, bordering Guatemala and sharing the healthy volcanic soil.
This Organic Certified coffee is grown at altitudes between 1500-1900 m, and is grown by 496 individual farmers. Each individual farmer controls the production of each cherry from the planting of the seeds to the drying of the coffee.
